Our volunteer Board tries hard to stay on top of and inform our members on the multitude of diverse issues that affect our precious Gulf County. Good government occurs from having involved and informed citizens who stay ahead of the issues and potential changes that may affect our little piece of paradise. Our Board is dedicated to keeping abreast of the issues at the local, state, and federal level and working to maintain our unique coastal style of living in North Florida.
How you can help: If you aren’t a member, please join–click on the previous word “join” and it will take you to our membership form. We are also looking for members to become involved on various committees. Please visit our Contact Information page for a list of committees and contact the committee chairs if you would serve on a committee that is of particular interest.
Our Semi-annual meetings in mid-January and late June bring in elected officials and other government personnel to have a Q & A with our members. It is always informative and good to get answers from the “horse’s mouth”.
CCA is also involved in community giving. We have an Easter Basket Drive that provides for hundreds of children in Gulf County. During the year, targeting Easter and Thanksgiving, we have had food drives for the Food Bank and put a lot of food on the tables of the needy in Gulf County, including many veterans and elderly. Our Toy Drive this year was a success beyond belief. As a result of our efforts along with The South Gulf County Volunteer Fire Department, St Joseph Bay Golf Club, and the Lions’ Club, we had enough toys donated that EVERY child’s Christmas wish was able to be filled by the Sheriff’s Christmas Toy Drive. There was no child in Gulf County that Santa didn’t visit.
We are small, but we are mighty.
We update the current pages and try to send our information eblast to our members in a timely manner. We want to be your source of information on issues affecting your property and quality of your coastal living. If Coastal Community Association is to be strong on the issues and affect public policy and politicians, we must have your support. Please join us and encourage others to join today.
